How To: Tag products in your Instagram posts

Create a beautiful, shoppable storefront on Instagram by getting started with Product Tagging inside your Plann workspace.

Tag your products, schedule them to be auto-posted, and easily allow your audience to shop your brand!

Once you've successfully set up your Instagram shop, you’ll now be able to access your catalog inside Plann and tag your products to your posts, the perfect way to streamline your scheduling and intentionally sell more products.

To be able to reply to comments, see results, and tag users and products to your posts, your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Business Page.

How to tag products with Plann desktop:

  1. Upload media to create your next Instagram shoppable post

  2. Select the Product Tagging icon in your workspace

  3. Click on your preview image to choose where you'd like your tag to be placed

  4. Choose the product that you would like to tag

  5. Easily drag + drop your tag to the location you'd like on your post

    That's it!

Simply schedule your post and we will auto-post it to Instagram with your product links for you!

How to tag products with the Plann app:

  1. Upload media to create your next Instagram shoppable post

  2. Scroll down the page and select 'Tag Products'

  3. Click on your image to define where the tag will be placed

  4. Select what product you would like to tag

  5. Click on 'Schedule' on the bottom menu

  6. Define a date and time and click on 'Save'

Can I tag products on video posts?

Yes! Although you won't see the option to choose where you want your tag to show on your post, they’ll simply appear as links.

What Type of Posts are Supported?

– Single Image Posts (5 products tagged)
– Reels (5 products tagged)
– Carousel Posts, including a mix of images and videos (20 product tags per carousel)

Psst: If a product has not yet been approved by Facebook, the tag will not appear on the published post until the product has been approved.
