How To: Tag users in Instagram posts

Make the most out of Plann by finding out how to tag other users in your posts!

Wondering how to pre-tag friends, suppliers, or business besties in posts before Plann auto-posts them to Instagram? Look no further!

When creating your Instagram post in your Plann workspace using your desktop, all you need to do is:

  1. Start creating a post by choosing the media you want to schedule

  2. Click the "People" Icon on the bottom left side of your image on your Create page

  3. Click on the photo where you want the tag to show up

  4. Then, simply type in the Instagram Business Account handle into the search bar! (Tagging personal Instagram accounts is not available).

  5. Under this same section, you can choose to invite a collaborator to your post

When creating your Instagram post in your Plann workspace using your mobile, all you need to do is:

  1. Start creating a post by choosing the media you want to schedule

  2. Scroll down the screen and click on 'Tag accounts'

  3. Click anywhere on your image to choose where the tag will be placed

  4. Finally, type in the Instagram Business Account handle in the search bar! (Tagging personal Instagram accounts is not available).

After clicking 'Save', you can proceed to schedule your post and it will be published with the tag that you have set up!

Psst: The Instagram tagging permissions of the account you are tagging can determine if the tag will be successfully posted.
