A Placeholder is a great tool when planning out what to post. For example, we have ready-made placeholders with topics such as lifestyle, product, inspiration etc - but you can also create your own to customize your grid the way you want (with our help).

Ideas for social media can strike anywhere, anytime! Need a place to store those post ideas? Here's how!

Add Placeholder to Plann:

  1. Login to Plann

  2. Choose what social platform you want to post to

  3. Click the + Sign

  4. Select 'Placeholder'

  5. Choose from existing Strategy tiles, or create a new Placeholder

  6. Select the color + create a Placeholder title

  7. Write notes, caption, or post ideas

  8. Drag + Drop media on top of the placeholder when you're ready!

Check out this GIF showing you how to create/select a Placeholder:

When you’re ready to add videos or images to your idea, it’s incredibly easy to use Plann to swap out your placeholder for media.

Just like normal strategy tiles, simply drag the file you’d like to use (from your media collection or your desktop!) and drop it over the top of your strategy tile or placeholder.
