How To: Understand Plann Analytics

Your social media results and analytics are super important when you want to scale your business, improve your product/content, and ultimately understand what is and isn’t working for your posts.

With Plann, you are able to access analytics, including your best-performing posts, the best times to post and even your best-performing colour palette!

To View your Analytics on Desktop:

  1. Click the “Results” tab located in the top navigation bar.

  2. Once you’re in the “Results” page, you will see options to toggle between what data you are after; “Overview”, “Activity”, “Media”, “Profile”.

  3. Toggling through these tabs will give you insight into your; best-performing media, best-performing hashtag sets, information about your people and so much more!

Please note: Our metrics and analytics are only able to show results from your organic data so anything from your Paid Advertisement (including boosted posts) will not be shown within Plann. This is because Meta (Facebook & Instagram) currently do not allow paid ad data to be sent to third-party apps like Plann.

Now that we’ve shown you where to find your results, it’s time to learn what’s working for you and what isn’t!

You can use your analytics to understand your audience by observing the items below:

  • Best-performing colour palettes

  • Engagement Rate

  • Profile Views

  • Website (Link) Clicks

  • Follower Growth/Loss

What timezone are the analytics shown in?

Great question! All of your analytics will be shown in your local timezone, and we calculate these according to the engagement ratio of your posts from the last 30 days.

Your “Best Times to Post” will be calculated based on engagement from your previously posted content. This shows you when your audience is most online & most likely to engage with your content!

The “When your Audience is Most Online” will be based on when your audience is the most active on social media, so you might find the two options vary ever so slightly!
