How To: Add a placeholder for missing content

If you are not seeing a Collab post or a Pinned post, this is the article you are looking for!

Updated over a week ago

We certainly want to make sure your Instagram grid is perfectly reflected in Plann, so you can easily plan your future posts and preview how your grid will look! However, there are some things that Meta still doesn't allow for scheduling tools, so you might be missing a few Collab posts or not seeing your Pinned posts in Plann.

The good news is that we have two amazing features that will help keep your grid looking great and accurate!

Missing Content? Add Placeholder!

You can easily add a placeholder to simulate the Collab Posts you see in your existing grid!

To add a placeholder on your Plann grid, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Hover over the published* post that should be next to the missing

  2. Click on the 3 dots that will show in the corner

  3. Click on "Missing Content? Add Placeholder"

  4. Upload a screenshot or media of the Collab post that is missing to make sure that your grid is organized and reflects what you see on your Instagram account. :D

*Published / live posts will be indicated with the little Instagram logo in the corner.

Pin your posts to reflect your live Instagram grid

If you have pinned posts on Instagram, you might want to see them in Plann so you can schedule ahead, having an accurate view of your live Instagram grid!

Here are some quick steps on how to Pin a post in your Plann grid:

  1. Hover over the published post you want to pin

  2. Click on the 3 dots that will show in the corner

  3. Click on "Pin post"

Your pinned posts will show at the top of your Plann grid!
